Description
It fermented with some full clusters with indigenous yeasts in oak vats and matured in oak foudres and bocoyes for 16 months
The 2012 Merlot Filip is deep
It's 55% Cabernet Sauvignon and 45% Shiraz
The tannins are silky and polished throughout
the biggest bragging point here
Jacques Prieur, Chevalier Montrachet Blanc Brut Zero It fermented with some full(from a . 14 ha parcel). Here the nose is firmly reduced and unreadable though the underlying fruit does seem ripe. More interesting are the super sleek and intense larger scaled flavors that are admirably concentrated and quite powerful if perhaps a bit less mineral driven than usual on the sappy, complex and sneaky long finish.
